Exhibited at the 2020 Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum’s Western Spirit Art Show
This painting is based off an incredible photo of fellow western artist Remy Campbell (insta handle @cypress.crown, website www.CypressCrown.com). I’d gotten permission to use her photo last year but struggled with figuring out how to do her epic photo justice. In my minds eye I saw the pair of them looking out over a herd of bison. But how to tell the story? I discarded ideas for about a year before I came up with this one.
