We were looking for cows in the hills up in Mendocino and this young Morgan mare was a little out of shape and didn’t have much experience. We took lots of breaks that day, letting her catch her breath and get used to balancing on the steep and sometimes rough terrain. Here she is picking her way through some rocks.
