This series of paintings was groundbreaking for me. Working larger and inside more complex shapes than ever, these paintings took on more of a feeling of a picture within a picture — or hidden picture — as oppose to the paintings within the silhouette of a head. The image is of a bull elk standing over his harem of cows — the victor over the battle depicted in the silhouette.
