While sitting in my booth at the Western States Horse Expo art show, I was approached by the manager of the Grand National Rodeo who had noticed my rodeo art. We soon discovered we had mutual friends and eventually he asked if I’d be willing to repaint one of my paintings for the 2010 Grand National Rodeo poster and use my paintings as illustrations of the events for the Event Guide. It was an unqualified yes!
I repainted the photo I had taken during slack at Poly Royal Rodeo earlier that year with a pink shirt for Tough Enough to Wear Pink night in front of the Cow Palace’s long-gone pumpkin-colored chutes.
