Vulture’s
View
2018 | 8″x10″ | Available |
I had just climbed the soaring staircase to my parent’s front door when I saw a black shadow swoop behind me. I turned and caught a glimpse of a vulture, below eye level, flying through the trees. He landed on the stair rail and sat for several minutes while I took blurry picture after blurry picture from my phone. It was overcast out and even though the vulture was less than 20 feet away, it was dark in the shade. I decided to paint him resting on a snag overlooking a valley at dusk.
